I’m taking this week off because (as best I’m aware), I’ll have a newborn sometime Monday or Tuesday. Expect pictures next week, when I’ve had time to collect myself and write something of substance.
In the meantime, here’s a thought to ponder: What was on the minds of NASA scientists when the New Horizons space craft was launched nearly a decade ago? Could they predict the clarity of the pictures that would be to come? Did they expect failure at the hands of a collision with some object in the solar system? Are they proud of themselves and what they accomplished now?
